About Gyansthali Dainiki
- All communication should be addressed to the Principal.
- Parents are requested to co-operate with the school by ensuring that the children observe punctuality, regularity and discipline, do their works regularly, and take active part in the various programs in the school.
- PRIVATE TUITION is not encouraged. Instead, parents are requested to give personal attention and ask their children to clarify their problems with their teacher in the school itself.
- Parents should occasionally check the copies and Handbook of the children, and sign the comments given by the teachers. They are welcome to give their suggestion and opinions.
- Children are expected to be neatly dressed in full uniform . Their hair must be neat. Girls may use bands/ribbons to tie their hair. Boys need to have a short hair cut. Girls may wear small ear-rings.
- Dainiki is issued at the time of joining.
- The student particular on the first page of the dainiki must be accurately filled. Also affix arecent passport size photograph of the child on the space provided.
- Dainiki is a importent tool for two way communication between teachers and parents.
- Parents are requested to look in to the school dainiki of their ward daily. Remarks made in the Dainiki should be seen and counter sighed as a proof that they have been read.
- Home-work section can be used as Parent-Teacher Dialogue.
Guide Lines for Parents
- Parents must by all means attend the Parent- Teacher meeting to discuss with the teacher regarding the study of their children and to have a clear knowledge of their progress.
- Parents are not allowed to interview the teachers in the classroom or in the staff room without the permission of the principal those who wish to seek any information or any suggestion may do it during the Parents- Teacher meeting.
- Parents/Guardians must not go to the classrooms during the school hours nor call them out of the class. In case of any necessity, they may contact at the office.
- Criticism of a teacher of the school should be strictly avoided because it leads the child to loose respect for the teacher and consequent failure to learn from her.
- No pupil should be sent to school if suffering from a contagious or infectious disease.
- When a student is likely to be absent to illness for a long period, the principal must be informed through an application for leave supported by Medical Certificate within a week, failure do so will result in the children's name being removed from the school roll.
- The principal or teacher may punish a student for habitual idleness, disobedience or misconduct, indiscipline etc, by suspension or removal from the class.
- As the medium of instruction in the school is English, children should be helped to follow their classes easily by certain amount of English Conversation home. Awareness of current affairs through discussion at home goes a long way to build a base for good general knowledge and discussion ability.
- All correspondence and transactions with the school must be done during the working days, in the school office and during the school hours.
- The one who signs in the admission from the student will be responsible for the student and is supposed to attend the parent teacher meeting, or contact the school with regard to the particular student, school will not entertain any other person in this regard.
If the student does not reside with the parents, the parents shall introduce the local guardian and attest his signature.
- Ensure that your ward does not bring valuables to the school. The school is not responsible for articles/personal belonging lost by the students.
- Ensure that your ward does not bring crackers, colours etc. to the school.
- No toys or sport equipment should be brought to the school unless asked for by teacher for a specific activity.
- On their birthdays, children are allowed to distribute only sweets and no others expensive items/gifts to their classmates. We do not appreciate the gestures of sending gifts from children for birthdays celebrations. Children are not allowed to wear colour dress on their Birthday.
- Parents are requested to intimate the school office promptly about any change of address or telephones number if any, to enable the school office to contact them quickly in case of emergency.
- The school reserves the right to terminate the continuance of students with unsatisfactory progress in studies or whose conduct is a bad example for others.
- Bring mobile phones, cameras, expensive pens, pencils, pencil box, etc., to school is strictly forbidden.
- Students are not allowed to report to school with religious threads tied on their wrists. They shall not wear any bracelet.
Guide Lines for Parents
- Withdrawal & Refund Rules:
- The school has the right to ask the students to leave the school on the following grounds: -
(a) Use Dainiki as a communication link.
(b) Unsatisfactory Academic Progress
(c) Repeated detentions in the class
- If a student seeks to leave the school for any reason, a notice of withdrawal, at least a month in advance, will have to be submitted failing which he/she will be required to deposit one month’s tuition fee and other relevant charges.
Attendance & Absentee Procedure:
- Every student is expected to maintain an attendance record of at least 90 percent during the academic year failing which he/she may not be allowed to take the examination.
- A proper leave application must be submitted in writing by the parent to the principal in case of absence.
- If a child has been suffering from a communication disease, he/she should be allowed to attend the school any after production of a fitness certificate from the qualified doctor.
- If a student is absent without reason for more than six days, he/she name be stuck off the school rolls.
- Re-admission may be granted only at the discretion of the principal.
